Thanksgiving Devotional:

The Hebrew work for thanksgiving is towdah. Towdah means praise and confession. We as Believers should give our confession of praise of who God is everyday and not just on the holiday of Thanksgiving.

When we give thanks or praise to God, we allow God to take that confession of praise and perform the miraculous. In Matthew 14:19-20 (Amplified) we see the power of giving thanks:

19 Then He ordered the crowds to recline on the grass; and He took the five loaves and the two fish, and, looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and blessed and broke the loaves and handed the pieces to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

20 And they all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up twelve [[a]small hand] baskets full of the broken pieces left over.

That miraculous comes in the form of multiplicity. God is looking to perform a miracle of multiplicity in your life and all He is waiting for is your confession of praise or thanksgiving unto Him.

Let me leave with you one more food for thought from Luke 6:38 (KJV):

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Give unto God is what is due unto Him which is our praises. Plant a seed of thanksgiving and watch God performed. God will send people unto you with gifts that are good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running together. This shows also the power of multiplicity through God.

I pray that you and your family have a Blessed Thanksgiving and that you confess your praise to God for what He has done for you.
